Brand New Maps to Chart Gambling Issues by Area

In collaboration with UCL's Oliver O'Brien, GambleAware's maps highlight gambling harm rates in local and parliamentary districts, alongside treatment demands.

A 2022 introduction: the UK's IMD map, comparing deprivation with gambling rates. It also details locations and contacts for National Gambling Treatment Service providers.

Haroon Chowdry from GambleAware stressed the importance of quick, customized support for those dealing with gambling issues.

These interactive maps serve as crucial tools for officials and service providers to spot local needs and service gaps. The public can now access them to find local assistance.

Chowdry reiterated the ongoing collaboration with the wider system to adopt public health strategies for gambling harm, hoping the data accelerates support accessibility.
